Becca likes Country. Becca likes Rhythm and Blues. Becca likes pure Rock-n-Roll. Most important, Becca loves music. That is why growing up in Thousand Oaks, California, Becca never realized the music she loved had been categorized or pigeonholed. Otherwise, she would have known that some of her favorite artists - Elvis, The Eagles, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, even Kenny Rogers - were considered country artists. These so-called mainstream country artists seemed to fit nicely on the radio right next to her other favorite artists, Aerosmith, Pat Benatar, Led Zepplin,
Aretha Franklin, and Stevie Nicks. Becca felt these artists sang great, honest music straight from the heart. “I grew up listening to what I thought was really cool music,” says Becca. “I didn't know it was called “country” until later, but I knew in my heart it was the music I was meant to sing.” Becca’s self-titled brand of “L.A. Country” music draws from a deep well of those early influences that she expresses on her debut release for Nari Records, titled, Becca. Recorded in Los Angeles, CA, and mixed in Granbury, TX, Becca hand picked every song on this album. “I picked only songs that I was truly passionate about. I wanted to bring back the warmth and soul of country music, but I didn't want to lose the excitement of today's country music and its expanding fan base.” On her self title debut album, Becca hits her stride with such songs as “Second Chance,” “Pieces of My Heart,” “Texas Hurricane” and “Number One Fan,” and performs a stellar duet with music legend Delaney Bramlett on the song titled “Blue Note.” This past year Becca really made her mark on the country music scene. In June 2006, Becca’s first hit single, “Second Chance” was released to rave reviews. Before she knew it, “Second Chance” was a top 30 hit on the Independent Country Charts. A full year later, “Second Chance” is still in high rotation and reached #1 on the Independent Country Music Chart. The same month “Second Chance” hit #1, her record company, Nari Records, released the second single “Pieces of My Heart,” currently a top 10 hit on the Independent Charts. She is the top selling progressive country artist on cdbaby.com, evidence that beccais a force to be reckoned with. Currently, Becca’s CD is playing on over 300 radio stations around the world, including Japan, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Uruguay and the U.K., proving Becca’s music is not just for the U.S. but also for the entire world. Becca has a great back-up band she calls “L.A. Country” made up of great musicians. With L.A. Country behind her, Becca gives a mind-blowing performance leaving audiences begging for more. She is passionate about performing live and is extremely thankful to her fans. “Every time I hit the stage I give them all I've got. Without my fans, I am nothing.” In addition to her concert touring, Becca sang the National Anthem at several NASCAR races and more recently when the Giants played the Dodgers at Pac Bell Park in San Francisco. The Giants management was quoted as saying, “Becca’s rendition of the National Anthem is the best we've ever heard.” Hearing Becca sing live is a sight to see whether singing songs off her current album or the National Anthem. |
